Our position in the heart of the city is enviable, allowing girls to participate in the local community as well as being well-served by public transport.
Over two thirds of Senior School students arrive at school by bus, train or by walking. Many Prep School girls walk, scoot or cycle to Temple Gardens.
We run an extensive school minibus network covering both the north, east and west of the school. These routes arrive at the school at 08:30 each morning, in time for registration, and depart from the school at 16:45 at the end of the school day.
Brighton Girls works with Vectare, a specialist school transport management company, to manage the school minibus service. Vectare are responsible for over 1.5 million school journeys per annum, including schools across the GDST group. Vectare manage all aspects of the school’s minibus service, and any enquiries can be directed to their team at email@example.com.
All bookings for school minibus routes are made via our online booking system, which can be viewed at brightongirls.vectare.co.uk. This means that you no longer need to complete any paper forms. Payment for the service is made at the time of booking and your daughter’s name will automatically be added to the minibus register. The website also incorporates an interactive journey planner which allows you to enter your postcode and find your closest minibus stop.
All of our school minibus routes are operated using our own in-house drivers and minibuses. Drivers are DBS checked and regularly undertake the MiDAS course to ensure the safety of the pupils travelling. The team of drivers operate the same routes on a regular basis which allows both you and your daughter to get to know them.
