Cooking stars Alice and Anna in Year 8 made it to the final of the Create and Cook Competition.

The girls had to create a two course menu using seasonal and local ingredients.

They decided to make a traditional Mexican dish called ceviche, and Scottish shortbread with a (nonalcoholic!) mojito fruit salad.

Ahead of the final, they travelled to London with Ms Tyson to learn from patisserie teacher, Yvan, how to make some of the elements of their menu.

They did incredibly well to reach the final at Newlyns Cookery School in Hampshire, and came away with a goody bag filled with delicious food the judges had made. Well done girls, you were fantastic.
