Nature as Our Classroom
Every Tuesday, the natural world becomes our playground and our classroom. Pupils have the opportunity to learn amidst the diverse ecosystems, witness marine life, cook on an open fire, build shelters and develop a deep appreciation for our local environment.
Inspiring Curiosity
Forest and Beach School is designed to ignite curiosity and encourage active engagement. The natural environment stimulates all of the senses, sparking a natural desire to explore, question, and seek answers. Our students become natural-born explorers and caretakers.
Holistic Development
We believe that education goes beyond academic achievement. Outdoor Learning nurtures the holistic development of our students, fostering their physical, social, and emotional growth. From constructing pebble-art to participating in team-building activities, students develop essential life skills, such as collaboration, resilience, and problem-solving.
Health and Well-being
The forest and beach environments offers numerous health benefits, both physically and mentally. The soothing sound of waves and the calming effect of being immersed in nature promotes relaxation, reduces stress levels and enhances overall well-being.
Environmental Stewardship
Our outdoor education instils a deep sense of environmental responsibility in our students. By connecting with nature first-hand, they develop a genuine love and respect for the planet. This cultivates environmentally conscious individuals who understand the importance of conservation and are inspired to protect our planet.
Experiential Learning
Outdoor education provides hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that bring the curriculum to life. From conducting science experiments on the shore, to learning about flora and fauna in the woodland, our students actively engage with their subjects, enhancing their understanding and retention of knowledge.
Through these experiences, we combine the best of education and the beauty of nature to create a truly transformative learning experience.
