Brighton Girls is celebrating another fantastic set of GCSE results, with nearly 60% of all grades awarded at 9-7 (equivalent A*-A grades), reflecting the hard work, determination and commitment they have shown throughout their time in Year 11.

There was a real sense of excitement at school this morning as students gathered with their families, teachers and friends to receive their results and celebrate the peak of their GCSE journey. Celebrating exceptional individual achievements Among this year’s many successes:

  • Thella achieved 8 grade 9s across English, Maths, Sciences, Classics, Art.
  • Bella achieved 7 grade 9s across Maths, Sciences, Music, PE and Food and Nutrition.
  • Rachel achieved 7 9s across English, Biology, Chemistry, Latin, French and Geography.
  • Michal achieved 6 9s across Maths, Sciences, Art and Hebrew and a Distinction in Additional Maths.
  • Faye achieved all top grades across the board, including French, Geography and History.

Over half of all grades in English Literature and/or Language were in the top band. Biology and Chemistry achieved over 70% for 9-7, with Physics very close with 67%. with further notable performances, with roughly 30% or more of all grades awarded at grade 9 in the cohort include Art, Drama, French, Music, PE, Hebrew and Polish.

These results are a testament not only to the academic ability of the cohort, but also to the perseverance, ambition and support that have characterised their time at Brighton Girls.

Beyond the classroom, the Year 11 students have made a significant contribution to the life of the school. They have been outstanding in sport, supported charitable causes, performed in many school productions, mentored younger students and contributed to the wider Brighton Girls community in countless ways.

We are delighted to see them reach this important milestone. Great results for a great year group!”
