At Brighton Girls, we are proud to be sponsors of the Brighton Miles, a fantastic event that brings together young runners from across the city to celebrate confidence, resilience and community.
If your child is taking part, there are a few simple ways you can help them feel prepared, confident and ready to enjoy Saturday:
- Encourage them to run at their own pace
Every child’s experience will be different, remind them that taking part and finishing is what matters most. - Help them fuel well
A balanced meal the night before and a good breakfast on race morning (such as porridge or toast) will help maintain energy levels. - Keep them hydrated
Make sure they drink water throughout the day, but avoid drinking too much just before the race. - Arrive in good time
Giving yourselves plenty of time before the start will help your child feel calm and prepared. Our students will also be leading the warm-ups on the day, helping everyone get ready. - Focus on enjoyment, not pressure
A positive, encouraging mindset can make all the difference, celebrate their effort, whatever the outcome.
We are looking forward to cheering on all the runners and being part of such a positive and inspiring community event.
