Turning back time to dive deep into the New York prohibition era of Bugsy Malone, audiences were transported to a city filled with gangsters, showgirls and dreamers…

Last week, it was an absolute pleasure to present Bugsy Malone to a live audience of parents, siblings, friends, and teachers. This was our first whole school production since January 2019, and there was certainly an energy in the room that made for an exciting couple of evenings. With many incredible performances from students across the year groups (Year 7 -Year 13), it truly was a fine demonstration of just how talented the students are here at Brighton Girls. They had the audience in fits of laughter throughout, showing a real flair for comic timing and excellent characterisation.

Thank you to all cast and crew for pulling together a performance that will be remembered for years to come. You have set the bar high, helping to inspire others around school to get involved in future productions. I very much look forward to next year and the exciting theatrical opportunities it will bring.
