Brighton Girls is today celebrating the outstanding results of students at GCSE with 40 % of all grades at the very top levels 8 and 9. Among many outstanding individual achievements, Katie Hoffelner’s 10 A* grades stood out and there was superb performance across a range of subjects, with over half of all students in English, Maths, Science, Art and Latin being awarded Grades 8 and 9.
Head, Jennifer Smith, said: “I am delighted with our girls’ success – they have worked tremendously hard and it is well-deserved. Whilst we are very pleased with our headline statistics, the most important thing is that individual girls have made excellent progress during their time at the school and we are, I believe, justifiably proud of our value-added record with the vast majority of girls meeting or exceeding their potential grades in all subjects. Congratulations to all the girls and staff on a superb performance.”
