Girls in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 finished Wild Beach School this year with a trip to Chichester Harbour.

Pefectly located on the Sussex coast, the Wild Beach School has been on our Prep School curriculum for a number of years. It’s hugely beneficial for girls to get out of the classroom and experience topics live, like the science of the weather and the changing tides.

Local wildlife is always a talking pointing, and mostly recently this included sightings of cormorants – though the girls were most desperately on the look out for a harbour seal.

Girls also had the opportunity to sail on the tour boat, talk to the harbour team and visit West Wittering and its beautiful sandy beach. Here we had lots of fun constructing sandcastles as part of a tidal experiment, as well as collecting shells and of course sampling the ice cream.
