To commemorate the schools 140th birthday, all pupils and teachers came together to celebrate a historic day by raising money for Cancer Research UK through holding a Race for Life.

As a whole school we started the day with house orientated activities which included making flags to cheer on our house members and keep morale high during the race.

We then went in convoy down to Hove Lawns and kick started the event with a whole school warm up led by the sports department and Mr Stacey. The races then began and started off with the energetic years 1-3 which were followed by years 5-13. Even the teachers took part in the race! The whole school was full of energy and enthusiasm as the glorious sun beamed down. On a day like this the school spirt was present and helped to make it so special.
