The team going to Africa this summer met on Saturday to learn more about the groups they will be teaching, and the logistics of what life in Malawi will look like in July 2016.

Our girls have been allocated teaching groups ranging from 5 year olds to 18 year olds, in classes that could be as large as 60 pupils.  Given that there is no reliable electricity, let alone other technology to support teaching, this is a challenging brief for pupils who may never have given a lesson before.  However, these daunting facts did not dampen the tremendous enthusiasm with which the girls began lesson planning following some discussion of teaching styles with Jimmy and Zac from CRED.   Indeed, the group of girls taking part in this challenge are already beginning to look like a really dynamic team who can make a huge difference to the lives of kids born in Malawi.
