A brighter education

A brighter education

Maisie Bursary Award Holder, Academic Scholar, Sport Scholar, Music Scholar

I am really enjoying my time at Brighton Girls as the teachers are kind, helpful and always willing to listen to what you have to say. There are a numerous amount of clubs and activities that are on offer here including crochet, badminton and sea swimming, but my favourite would be Netball Academy because it is fun and engaging. Before coming here, I had never played netball before, and as part of the Brighton Girls netball team we have become Sussex Independent School champions 3 years in a row! We have also been unbeaten in cricket all season.

This academic year I have participated in school trips to Iceland and to CERN in Switzerland, which is an incredible opportunity thanks to the GDST Christopher Fieldes Award. Thanks again to the generous donors for providing the bursary award that has enabled me to experience new things, partake in lots of clubs and learn many new skills in and out of the classroom. I very much advise supporting the bursary awards as it helps young people like me have a brighter education and pursue careers that they might not have done otherwise.

“the bursary award has given me an incredible opportunity”
