1. When you were at Brighton & Hove High School, and what is your fondest memory of school?
I was at the school between 2004-2010.
2. Who was your favourite teacher and why?
Mrs Gurthrie in Art and our Dance teacher Mrs James.
3. What were the benefits of being in an all-girls school?
Anything feels possible and there are no barriers to comparison!
4. What did you want to be when you ‘grew-up’?
A ballet dancer!
5. What do you do now, and what are the most rewarding and challenging parts of your job?
Co-CEO of a Saas Business, the most rewarding is growing the company from 1 customer to over 500 global enterprise businesses, with companies like Vodafone, Nandos and British Airways using our platform. The most challenging is always to do with scaling and staying agile and adaptable as we grow to over 250 employees.
6. What are you most proud of so far?
Thrive made the Sunday Times top 50 fastest growing Tech companies in the UK.
7. What was the best piece of advice you were given whilst at Brighton?
Effort trumps talent.
8. What advice would you give to your 18 year old self?
Do more than what you came for. Meaning always try and go above and beyond in anything you do. And you’re going to have to do jobs you don’t like to know what career you’ll love.
9. What book, film or piece of music would you recommend to your younger self and to your fellow alumnae?
Listen to any podcast with Mo Gawdat and it’ll change your outlook and mind set on life.
10. How would you like to be remembered?
As someone who gave their all to everything they did, who grafted hard, cared deeply, and never shied away from putting in the work. Someone who made people feel seen, heard, and a sense of belonging.
